  • RECHARGING OUR COMMUNITIES – (Community Development) Community demographic trends, new housing options, changing workforce housing, transportation, comprehensive plans, subarea plans, development regulations and project reviews, economic development, diversity, workforce, homelessness, Tribal planning.
  • OUTFITTING THE PLANNER – (Toolbox) Law and Ethics, recreational marijuana: lessons learned so far, sign codes, how ethics have evolved through the years, the effective and efficient planner, GIS, data analytics, building effective teams, communication tools.
  • UNCHARTED WATERS – (Leading Edge) Adapting to new technology, regulating new business types, tactical urbanism, economic development, adapting decision making to a new future (GMA and SEPA legacy, TIF in WA), and anything that does not fit into one of the boxes but is really cutting edge.
