Snoqualmie Wastewater Reclamation Facility

The City of Snoqualmie completed the Snoqualmie Wastewater Reclamation Facility in 1998. Managed by city’s Public Works Department, wastewater is treated and used to irrigate city planting strips, a golf course, the Snoqualmie Ridge neighborhoods and local parks. In 2009, the program expanded its efforts to recycle all solid waste coming into the Snoqualmie wastewater treatment plant. Dried Class A biosolids, containing essential plant nutrient and organic matter, will be recycled into a fertilizer and soil amendment at the treatment plant once the biosolid treatment final testing is completed. Snoqualmie residents will then be invited to use the city’s biosolid supply for their gardens at no cost.
