The Nominating Committee of the Washington Chapter of the American Planning Association is seeking nominations to fill several leadership positions at the Chapter and Section levels for terms starting in 2027. This is your opportunity to support excellence in our planning community, expand your professional network and leadership skills, and shape the future of our planning profession in Washington state.

We are currently seeking nominations for the following positions, with two-year terms that would begin on Jan. 1, 2027:

  • Inland Empire Section Vice President
  • Inland Empire Section Secretary
  • South Sound Section President
  • South Sound Section Vice President
  • South Sound Section Secretary/Treasurer
  • Peninsula Section Secretary
  • Peninsula Section Treasurer

  • Columbia Section Secretary
  • Columbia Section Treasurer
  • Northwest Section Vice President
  • Puget Sound Section President
  • Puget Sound Section Treasurer
  • Puget Sound Section Secretary

After hearing of your interest, we will provide instructions to candidates on how to go through the self-nomination process using the APA National nominations portal website.

  • April 10:  APA National Nominations Site opens 
  • May 8: Nominations Site closes 
  • June 5:  Final Slates due to APA 
  • August 5: Election opens 
  • September 4: Election closes
