Job Description:

We appreciate your interest in Mackenzie! We anticipate increased workload demands and have an opening for a Planner with at least 10 years of experience working in development permitting and land use planning in our Vancouver office. Projects in our portfolio currently range from site feasibility/due diligence, land use and building permit entitlements to support institutional, commercial/retail, mixed use and industrial development; master planning and subarea planning; long range planning and policy planning (including support of regional economic development and business recruitment and retention); and development of award-winning zoning code and land use policies. This position is temporarily remote, but will ultimately be in our Vancouver office.The successful candidate should have a minimum of 10 years of experience, specifically in current development planning in Washington and Clark County region. The candidate must also demonstrate strong communication/writing skills, be team oriented, and have the ability to communicate effectively and work well collaboratively in an open, multi-disciplined, studio type environment.

Experience/Qualifications/Knowledge/Skills:

Candidate should have experience in managing projects and working to maintain relationships with clients and regulators; be fluent working with the Adobe suite (Illustrator/InDesign/Photoshop) and SketchUp; strong writing skills, and also have experience working directly with a design team to develop creative and innovative development solutions.
