The City of Walla Walla is seeking its next Director of Development Services who will plan, organize, direct, advise and evaluate the activities of the Development Services Department. Job Duties: This position reports to the City Manager and leads a department of eight employees that processes all permits, inspections, land-use applications and long-range planning activities. The director will prepare and update developmental short- and long-range strategic plans; contribute to the City’s overall strategic plan; and identify and recommend policy options to the Planning Commission and City Council. Supplemental Information: Compensation and Benefits: The salary range for this position is $104,751 - $127,442 and is dependent upon qualifications. The City offers a comprehensive and generous benefits package, which includes medical, dental and vision health insurance; life/AD&D; vacation; 14 paid holidays including floating holidays; sick leave; and two retirement plan options including the Washington State Public Employees Retirement Plan and 457 Deferred Compensation Plan.
