Sustainable Washington 2009: Planning for Climate Change
An expanding online resource you can use and contribute to.
Sustainable Washington 2009: Planning for Climate Change is a continuation and extension of the Livable Washington initiative of the Washington Chapter of the American Planning Association. This site is intended as a resource for Washington planners as we work toward creating sustainable communities while attempting to develop adaptation and mitigation strategies to address the impacts of climate change.
This web-based resource consists of several parts:
- An extensive online resource document, including background on the issues, actions planners can take, and the role of GMA and state initiatives;
- An 8-page Executive Summary, which also serves as a mailer and public information piece;
- An expandable wiki, which includes case studies and information on a wide array of initiatives and approaches to planning for sustainability and climate change.
Sustainable Washington is not just a static website; the wiki in particular is an expanding online resource which allows you to share your own stories and experiences with others.
