Chapter Auction

Dear Chapter Members:
We need your assistance in raising funds for our annual planning student college scholarship. We are requesting items for an auction that will be held during the evening of October 5th at the 2010 APA Washington Conference at the Three Rivers Convention Center in Kennewick, Washington. Donated items can be large or small, and personalized experiences also make great auction items. Cash donations are also welcome.

With the removal of the Alaskan Way Viaduct, Seattle is poised to reclaim its Central Waterfront and reconnect our city to Elliott Bay. The City is now in the process of selecting a design and engineering team to engage the public in developing a dynamic and forward-looking design for the waterfront. As the fi rst step, a range of local, national and international designers have submitted qualifi cations.
Washington Invasive Species Council seeks your input on proposed legislation

The Washington Invasive Species Council is soliciting comments from stakeholders on two draft pieces of legislation it is considering proposing. The first bill seeks to extend the Council, which currently is scheduled to sunset on December 30, 2011. The second bill proposes to establish an invasive species emergency response fund that would enable rapid response and eradication of new invasive species infestations.
Chapter initiates 2010 Bill Proposal Process
