Job Description:

Plans, coordinates, directs and controls the functions of the Community Development Department. The Community Development Director performs a variety of complex supervisory, administrative, and professional work in planning, organizing, and directing all phases of land use planning and directing the development and implementation of economic and community development plans, programs and services.  

Job Duties:

Competitive candidates should have a Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university with major emphasis in land use planning, urban planning, public administration or a closely related field and three (3) years of experience in city planning, zoning and grant administration, two (2) years of management, supervisory and budget experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted for education requirements.
