CM Grace Period Deadline – EXTENDED to May 31, 2016
Many members have been experiencing frustration with APA’s new CM log-in system. For this reason, the 2014-2015 Grace Period has been extended a month to allow more time for APA to address some of the technical problems. Rest assured, APA is ramping up efforts to fix the problems – try to be patient, and check back periodically.

There are still training options available if you need to take a few more CMs. Here are some ideas:

  • Check out what’s happening in the Chapter: http://www.washington-apa.org/events-training-calendar.
  • APA also offers streaming media education products at www.planning.org/store/streaming/ - Many 2015 NPC sessions: Content-Neutral Sign Regulation After Reed v. Gilbert, and other products approved for CM ethics: Ethics Case of the Year and Health Equity and Planning Ethics; CM law: Hot Topics in Housing Law, and Planning Law Review (2014, 2013, or earlier).
  • Find a listing of free CM credits that are offered through distance education products at www.planning.org/cm/free. Opportunities are added as they become available, so please check back frequently for the most current information.
  • Use the self-reporting tool that enables members to record up to eight credits within each two-year reporting period for activities that meet CM criteria but aren’t registered by a provider. Click on the “Add Self-reported credits” button located on your CM log at https://conference.planning.org/cm/logging/selfreport/ to access this tool.

If you have taken the training you need and just need to submit credits, cross your fingers and click here to record your learning. Be patient!
